Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care required. Must be a licensed and registered physician in New York State. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine. Duties: Treatment and management of patients with complex diseases requiring intensive care. Responsible for the total care of the ICU patient to include all medical problems while in the ICU. Overall responsibility to provide an optimal care environment that will both preserve function and allow the best chance for recovery to occur. Participate in the continuous care from ER into ICU/Step down and/or med/surg floor and discharge. Treating and following patients with various lung diseases in the hospital and on clinic site. Performing procedures for lung cancer diagnoses and treatment. Position supervises Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
