About Credit Analyst

  As a Credit Analyst, your day will be filled with opportunities to review pertinent credit and financial information, including financial statements, tax returns, credit bureau reports, bank reports and other company reports and prepare credit analysis. Commercial or Private Banking experience is important while Stock Yards Bank will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate’s skills and to further his/her career goals for advancement to higher levels within the banking profession. Our past accomplishments and continued future successes are directly attributed to the individual success of our employees. Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Spreads and makes interpretative analysis of financial statements and prepares memorandum for use in loan decision-making.  Performs credit analysis on relationships including, but not limited to, C&I, Commercial Investment Real Estate, Owner-occupied and Residential Construction customers.Analyzes annual financial statements and reports on changes in financial condition for existing relationships.Prepares and distributes for management a variety of recurring reports for use in the administration of the commercial loan portfolio.Assists in preparing loan packages for committee meetings. Attends such meetings and provides appropriate insight into various credit issues that are discussed.Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.Spread financial statements as requested by loan officers.Perform job duties of other Loan Operations positions as needed. Job Requirements The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Bachelor Degree or comparable experience as a Credit Analyst5 years of commercial or private banking experience requiredKnowledge of approval process and financial statement analysisGood verbal and writing skillsStrong computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to set priorities and meet established goalsStrong organizational skillsDemonstrated analytical, decision making and effective problem solving skillsBenefits401(k) with a company match of up to 6%ESOP employer matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceCancer / Disease insuranceAccident insuranceFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings AccountsHumana Go365 Wellness & Rewards ProgramBank paid Life / AD& D insuranceVoluntary Life / AD&D insuranceBank paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insuranceEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
