Description

　　Our client is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. This critical Cost Accountant role is responsible for the ongoing analysis of product cost, development of new product cost and margin analysis. You will also work closely with the manufacturing teams and senior financial management team to establish customer pricing. This role is an onsite position.

　　The responsibilities of the Cost Accountant may include:

　　Generate reports comparing production costs to standard costs and analyze manufacturing costs

　　Prepare journal entries

　　Perform variance analysis

　　Analyze projects and data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor usage, waste

　　Prepare sales reports including periodic, actual and forecasts

　　Assist with monthly accounting analysis and reporting

　　Generate costs and cost saving ideas based on analysis

　　Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, budgets, documents, and records of the organization

　　Requirements

　　SAP experience preferred

　　Bachelors degree in accounting or finance

　　2 + years of related Cost Accounting work experience in a manufacturing environment

　　Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
