Job Description
Coffman's corrosion control engineering team serves national and international clients in the oil and gas, marine, water/wastewater, federal, utility, power generation, and commercial market sectors. We have provided these services for more than three decades. Today, our group consists of more than 30 engineers and technicians who possess various NACE certifications, including multiple NACE Cathodic Protection Specialists and several licensed professional engineers.
We are seeking a self-motivated, creative Corrosion Control Engineer in our Anchorage office who wants to work and grow as a team player within our multi-discipline firm. The ideal candidate individual will have a strong work ethic as well as experience collaborating in a team environment.
Responsibilities May Include:
Performing Cathodic Protection Surveys for various structures (pipelines ,tanks, docks, etc.) and preparing reportsPerforming Close Interval Surveys, data analysis and preparing reportsLocating pipelines and performing depth of cover surveysAtmospheric Corrosion Control InspectionsPreparing cathodic protection system remediation recommendationsAssisting with cathodic protection designsThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.No paid interview travel or relocation expenses are offered for this position. **
Qualifications
Engineering Degree or equivalentNACE CP1 Tester Certification or higher preferredCorrosion control or oil and gas industrial experience preferredTravel, perform field work, and work overtimeValid driver's license and excellent driving recordTransportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or eligibility to obtain a TWICExceptional organization, writing and communication skillsCompetency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and database programsAdditional Information
