Job Description:

HOW A SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.

Mo nitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.

Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, hard drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).

Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.

Provides technical support and training to end-users

Provide guidance, work related leadership and mentoring to less-experienced technicians

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned (desktop support)

Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

High School diploma and 5+ years of directly related experience supporting end-user computing and customer support OR Associates Degree and 3+ years of directly related experience

Strong written and oral communication

Excellent customer service skills are required

Experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation, operating systems, and common applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Office 365)

Experience with desktop /laptop and application support

S upport for handheld devices ( iOS and Android)

Solid understanding of basic networking principles

Candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

US Citizenship required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.50 - $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
