　　Job Description:

　　At Regions, the Corporate Tax Accountant assembles, maintains, and analyzes all necessary tax information to prepare more complex tax returns.

　　Primary Responsibilities

　　Assists with representing Regions in tax return audits

　　Tracks, researches, and responds to tax notices received from various state and local tax jurisdictions

　　Processes tax returns for submission to state and local tax jurisdictions (this involves obtaining checks, obtaining signatures on returns, and mailing returns in compliance with statutory deadlines)

　　Researches more involved tax issues

　　Prepares tax allocation/settlement schedules and journal entries for estimated tax payments, audit settlements, tax returns, etc.

　　Assists with the tax account reconciliation process

　　Takes a broad perspective to solve problems

　　Acts as a resource for less experienced tax accountants

　　This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

　　Requirements

　　Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field

　　Six (6) years of accounting experience including account reconciliations

　　Four (4) years of tax experience

　　Preferences

　　Experience with reconciliations, settlements, and journal entriesSkills and Competencies

　　Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented

　　Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

　　Compensation Details

　　Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

　　The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
