About Corporate Strategy Manager

Responsible for shaping the strategic direction of UL Solutions, with a focus on identifying and leading enterprise-level initiatives, gathering market and competitor intelligence, and exploring new business opportunities. Serves as advisor to senior leadership. This role reports to the Head of Corporate Strategy, also supporting the Asia Pacific regional leadership.

Responsible for leading strategy planning for Asia Pacific with a focus on Greater China. Collaborate with region and segment leadership to set strategic direction for ULS in Asia Pacific. Conduct analysis and manage strategy development to achieve alignment between regional and segment priorities and maximize the company’s performance. Support acquisition activities and other strategic initiatives that are in line with UL’s long-range goals.

Work closely with the Asia Pacific and Greater China leadership teams to manage the regional strategy development process with business unit and division leaders to set priorities and strategic direction.

Conduct analysis of UL and the market to position the company to compete successfully in the region.

Lead development and execution of key strategic initiatives to maximize the company’s growth and profitability.

Support regional MA activities, including target identification and conducting appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential targets.

Lead or support Corporate Strategy initiatives including but not limited to strategic planning, market and competitor intelligence, MA, and penetration of new regions.

Participate as a key contributor on the Asia Pacific Management Team (with a focus on Greater China) and provide strategic direction to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources within the region.

Project manage corporate strategy initiatives or special projects as needed.

Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices

University degree (Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree) in Business Administration, Strategy, or Strategic Marketing, or related field plus 8 years of experience.

Advanced degree (Equivalent to a Master’s degree/ MBA) preferred.

Previous experience in Strategy or Management Consulting preferred.

Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment.

Demonstrated ability to express complex ideas, present results, and translate statistical and business terminology to various levels of management.

Strong team player with demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Hands-on experience in strategy development and MA projects.

Strong business acumen with proven success in managing significant initiatives with strong results.

Excellent communicate skills with strong proficiency in English and Putonghua
