Copywriter II Location: Remote (CA, OR, WA, NV) Duration: 11 months With possible Extension/With Possible Contract to hire Description: Job Description: The Internal Content Creator & Editor is an innovative thinker and strong copywriter with a passion for developing engaging content that keeps our employees informed about business priorities and inspires them through captivating stories celebrating our culture. This role serves as a key contributor to our Global Employee Comms Editorial Team supporting employee communication campaigns and our employee site. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully managing a content site — preferably a blog or website — and developing a communications campaign. They have demonstrated a deep understanding of data analytics to unlock audience insights and trends to drive impactful content. This individual is a creative writer who embraces new ideas, thrives under deadlines, is proficient in written and visual content development, and can act as a proactive contributor to a team. Duties and responsibilities Lead content development of key pieces, from ideation to publishing, to help employees better understand our business priorities, culture, product innovation, and AI storytelling. Content is both written, as well as short-form animated graphics and videos. Build and publish team and contributor content to our site via WordPress platform. Partner with the Creative team to ensure site layout and visuals reflect the brand and enhance user experience. Audit existing content to improve content and optimize page layouts, search, and site configuration. Help manage the blog's editorial calendar to ensure content is aligned with internal and external priorities and deadlines are met. Understand and research overall company priorities to inform clear, easy-to-understand content for employees as part of thoughtful comms campaigns. Produce short-form videos, both live-action and animated, to support storytelling Conduct interviews with subject matter experts and executives to help shape content. Edit and provide constructive feedback to other writers, as needed. Analyze blog data to evaluate the ongoing content performance, leveraging insights to inform and evolve strategy. Identify tactics to increase pageviews and reach. Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and content types. Requirements and qualifications 4+ years of marketing and content creation experience; technology industry, a plus Proficiency in Wordpress Experience creating short-form videos and other types of visual media Experience managing and maintaining a blog or social media content Exceptional writing and editing skills Ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our brand Excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts Experience and knowledge in digital content writing best practices Experience conducting interviews Familiarity with Google Analytics Understanding of company culture and its importance Knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing software Must have skills: Word press, Writing, Content development, Creative Thinker, Effective Copy Editing, Can synthesize data to inform strategy, Experience with technical and non technical content, ability to write in a conversational and approachable, fun tone Teachable skills: Stakeholder management, Deck design, Internal Communications experience Optional skills: Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing software Preferred top skill sets: (For Example: tools, previous experience, technologies) Any other critical details to note for our suppliers: (Team size, candidates that have been in this role prior, different titles of the role, etc.) This role is part of an immediate team of 4 and part of an extended team of 7 that is fairly dispersed. This individual needs to be able to work independently and who is a proactive contributor -- not a "waiting in the wings" team member. The team is somewhat disbursed so it's going to be critical that this person communicate frequently and often about their priorities. They need to be detailed, open to feedback, willing to take on a growth mindset, and highly organized with the ability to manage a calendar and execute on what's expected of them. Finally, this person needs to eager to be at Salesforce and has a strong desire to help our employees. Extra plus if this person has experience writing at Client. Call Notes: Experience with creative writing, content writing, and editing, as well as publishing content. Proficiency in WordPress. Strong writing and editing skills. Will be asked to draft communications for emails, posts, blogs etc., for campaigns. Will be working on both technical and non-technical content.
