General Description:
This position contributes to the success of Union County College Foundation’s mission and to its financial sustainability through the effective donor and volunteer communications and maintenance and management of the donor database and on-going fundraising activities. The incumbent’s responsibility includes providing timely, personalized, strategic communication to prospects and donors, focusing on the Alumni, Employees and additional internal constituents. The coordinator is also responsible for managing the Raiser’s Edge donor system by maintaining data integrity, reporting, and measuring the outcomes of initiatives and programs. The incumbent will understand The Raiser’s Edge capacity to increase fundraising efficiency and effectiveness.
Characteristics, Duties and Responsibilities:
• Utilizing College Relations as a resource, responsible for development and maintenance
of a comprehensive college-wide stewardship program whose purpose is to proactively maintain contact with existing donors in order to maintain a continuing interest in College life, activities and outcomes.
• Maintain a calendar of regular schedule of activities to cultivate relationships using a
variety of strategies, including in-person visits, phone contacts and attending events, in accord with established metrics.
• Assist with proposal development for scholarships, grant and major gift activities.
• Assist in and work with 1 event committees and to plan fundraising events and 2) with Fundraising Manager to procure event sponsorships and 3) with the Foundation for venue performance.
• Working with the Foundation Executive Director, conduct research to identify the
goals, net worth, history of charitable donations and other data related to potential donors.
• Maintain accuracy and timely updates of Raiser’s Edge Database, ensuring that contact
information is current and solicitation notes are input reviewed and produced for follow-up.
• Create, recommend and, if adopted, manage the development execution and support of
alumni, employee and other internal fundraising programs and report upon effectiveness thereof.
• Prepare and distribute contribution acknowledgement letters to donors.
• Maintain and “own” all endowed and annual scholarship agreements, ensuring accuracy
of “term sheet” associated with the agreement.
• Guide Scholarship awards through Financial Aid to ensure their awarding on a timely
basis, including ensuring that endowment sponsors have the opportunity to review, on an anonymous basis, any essays for conformity to their endowment’s requirement.
• Manage communication between scholarship recipients and donors, including recognition
of individual donors and annual scholarship reception.
• Document and maintain all procedures related to the Raiser’s Edge system.
• Manage Raiser’s Edge Database queries, performance management reporting and data
analysis, including metrics dashboards for Executive Director and Trustees.
• Collaborates with Finance, Information Technologies, Financial Aid, College Relations,
Events, Grants, Alumni Relations and Institutional Research to ensure successful accomplishment of fundraising, scholarships giving and transactional recordkeeping and reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is required with emphasis in sales, marketing, or fundraising preferred.
Experience:
Experience in development or marketing environment preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• This position’s duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work
environment, based on the activity scheduled.
• Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move
up to 25 pounds.
