The ideal candidate will have extensive Utilities experience at a large industrial facility and be well versed in boiler house operations.

Role and Responsibilities
Utilities Manager is responsible for:
Manages the boiler house and associated utilities
Set up appropriate PMs and contingencies to insure 100% reliability of utilities
Monitor energy use and efficiencies. Recommend energy savings and moving to green projects
Oversees the operation of the refrigeration units
Works with maintenance on the use of predictive maintenance technologies
Conducts failure analysis
Conducts root cause failure analysis and implements necessary changes to increase equipment reliability
Rationalize waste water treatment to handle APEX
Implement cost effective energy savings to insure low energy costs.
Increase equipment reliability to match or exceed global benchmarks.
Bring up maintenance standards to move toward proactive versus reactive maintenance
Bring refrigeration operations to global benchmarks both in safety, efficiency and reliability.
Responsible for employees in boiler house, approximately 4 employees
Utilities Manager is responsible for Food Safety and Quality in the boiler house – Follow company Quality Systems and implement Food Safety in the efficient and reliable operations of the boiler house, wastewater treatment, cooling tower/pressurized air, PSA, liquid Hydrogen/nitrogen supply and ammonia refrigeration areas.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BA/BS Degreein Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of utilities experience or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills and Leadership
Experience with managing utilities. Must be able to effectively lead, motivate and foster a team environment.
Must be able to work with both management and hourly employees effectively. Must be able to employ proactive techniques to improve reliability
Must be committed to the overall goals of the company and management team which includes operating efficiently, safely and cost effectively
The exposure for this position is very high so it requires someone who is easily adaptable in a fast paced and always changing environment
