Responsibilities Serves as a key part of the team, responsible for ongoing outreach within the mental health community to continue to build awareness for PrairieCare programs and services. This includes participation in meetings, networking events, community events, and proactive outreach. Helps bring ideas and feedback back to the Community Relations Supervisor to develop opportunities to continually address the needs of the surrounding area. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Developes new and ongoing relationships with community leaders within mental health, schools, like organizations, health care systems, families, and more, serving as the organization's liaison with various constituents Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within psychiatric healthcare Strives to achieve optimal utilization of the organizations continuum of care by identifying, developing, and maintaining direct referral relationships in designated target markets Analyzes, plans, and follows through for maximum effectiveness with the assigned target markets Provides feedback to leadership on PrairieCare programs from listening to community partners Responsible for being proactive in ongoing outreach and identifying new areas of opportunity Works with the team to identify those events in the community that are advantageous to be a part of, including the assesment of prior events, and recommendations for the future Comfortable providing insight to the Marketing Communications specialist, to include communication as requested; and provides updates to ensure the PrairieCare website has current information related to services, clinicians, contact information among other assigned duties This position includes travel and some evening/weekend hours Provides support for special projects to the Marketing Director, as requested Qualifications Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent educational and training experiences Requires knowledge of mental health and substance abuse terminology Previous experience with customer service in the health care field and clinical background preferred Ability to develop relationships with community partners Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Capable of operating independently and effectively, with high self-motivation Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including outlook, word and excel Familiar and able to navigate a customer relationship management tool Ability to maintain highly confidential information Ability to meet deadlines Courtesy in dealing with the public and individuals within the hospital Ability to cope with rejection and criticism is necessary Ability to exercise discretion and judgment PrairieCare is a psychiatric healthcare system experiencing rapid growth in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.
