　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　Under direction of Medical Director and Administrative Laboratory Director, according to current applicable federal, state, and local regulations/ accrediting agencies.

　　What you will do in this Role:

　　· Maintains high level of quality work

　　· Performs various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases

　　· Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis

　　· Prepares specimens for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood banking, urinalysis, and chemical and morphological examinations

　　· Assumes responsibility for problem solving and quality control, developing new procedures, preparing end of the month reports, monitoring department inventory, and assessing POC personnel competency

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Bachelor’s Degree

　　NCA Certified Lab Specialist, or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Medical Lab Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist

Our main campus is a Level III Trauma Center. We provide emergency services at our main campus and at Medical City ER Stonebridge. We have cardiovascular and neurological services. We offer general surgery, orthopedics and women's services. Additionally, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center.
