DUTIES: Workers will prepare and cook dishes using standardprep and service equipment, including food processors, chef knives,immersion blenders, steamers, convection ovens, flat top griddles,fryers, and char broilers to complete cooking tasks including braising,steaming, sauteing, and frying meats and vegetables. Clean foodpreparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areasas well as dishes, glassware, utensils, flatware, pots, or pans, usingdishwashers or by hand. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients bychecking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotatingstock. Assist other cooks and cook food according to recipes, turn andstir foods to ensure even cooking, and observe and test foods todetermine if they have been cooked sufficiently. REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS: - Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. - Saturdayand Sunday work required, when necessary. - Requires six months of priorexperience as a cook in a restaurant. - Applicants must possessdocumentation required to complete Form I-9 employment eligibilityverification SCHEDULE: 40hrs p/wk, 8hrs p/day.
