Your responsibilities
Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Direct finance department activities and team of 6
Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible
Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month
Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed
Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Comfortable handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties
Requirements
Previous experience in healthcare
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Hands-on experience with Reconcile Bank Statements
Earlier work involving Ledger Reconciliations
General familiarity with bank reconciliations
Adeptness in budgeting
Monthly Bank Reconciliation experience highly valued
Financial statement preparation experience desired
Demonstrated knowledge of Expense Reconciliation
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred
Account reconciliation experience desired
Experience with Reconcile Balance Sheet Account
Month end closings experience preferred
Account reconciliation experience preferred
Practical knowledge of financial reconciliation
Inventory Reconciliation experience highly preferred
Prior experience with reconciliations
Adeptness in Daily Reconciliation
Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Foundational knowledge in Review Financial Statements
Previous experience working with Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Comprehension of Monthly Reconciliation
Good understanding of Monthly Account Reconciliation
Knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements
Prepare Financial Statements experience highly desired
Deep understanding of Monthly Financial Statements
Background working with Ledger Account Reconciliation
Bank Account Reconciliation experience highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of Budget Processes
Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Ability to meet deadlines
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
CPA or MBA preferred
Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
