Description Robert Half is looking for Controller candidates who are looking for work where they will have broad business engagement and impact. You might be a good fit for this Controller position, if you can manage the process to ensure that models are correct and are fully accrued each month, verify and hold the operations team accountable to ensure end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting and related financial controls are operating effectively. The Controller position will be located in El Segundo, California and is a short-term contract / temporary engagement. Your responsibilities in this role
Engage with various business partners for a variety of program controllership and FP& A activities such as upholding accurate accrual models and appropriate accounting, as well as true-up activities. Also answer questions from business, area and subsidiary controllers
Review and monitor controls to ensure they are designed and operating effectively in partnership with compliance
Obtain a thorough understanding of essential financial results and movements across programs, then summarize and discuss them with key business partners
Acquire understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners
Ensure timely cash flow forecasts by collaboration with the Treasury
Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes and tools for the accountable programs
Ongoing monitoring of actual spend against budget, as well as leading actions needed for any expected shortfalls
Organize evidence and qualitative discussion of monthly financial results across global programs in order to support SOX controls Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Wealth Management
Knowledge of Wealth Management
Fund accounting experience
Working knowledge of ERP system
Aptitude for communication and negotiation, building trusted advisor/consultant relationships and influencing Executives and Business Decision Makers
Ability to manage, lead change and build process improvements
Proven ability to provide leadership across finance team by engaging with different groups around the world via virtual communication
7+ years professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance
Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well
Capable of working in office and accounting computer systems
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field
