The Big Picture: Mortenson is looking for a Contracts Manager who will be responsible for assisting operating groups to draft and negotiate construction contracts with owners, subcontractors and suppliers. What you will be doing: Assist project teams in the preparation and submission of pre-qualification documents Assist in the drafting and negotiation of owner agreements Assist in the award and negotiation of subcontract agreements and material purchase agreements Assemble and track owner agreement and subcontract exhibits Review bid proposals and owner agreements to identify significant provisions of interest in bid documents and contracts Issue professional service agreements Prepare confidentiality agreements and related documents Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance How you will succeed: Solid understanding of the contracting process from negotiation through execution (alternatively, paralegal degree and experience with construction project transactions including owner agreements, subcontracts and material purchase agreements) Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills Strong teamwork orientation Positive attitude and professional customer service skills Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction contract or project management or in a non-construction corporate contracts department This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship. #LI-BS1 Mortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer.
