Kforce has a client in Redmond, WA that is seeking a Contractor/Vendor Data Engineer.Key Projects:
Core work is a portfolio of existing Power BI assets; Needs attention (care) and then checking the code via GitHub
Helping those assets become more reliable and retainable
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:
Contractor/Vendor Data Engineer implements complete data architectures, including appropriate data schemas, as well as additional components appropriate to the database design for consuming data from varied data sources
Designs and implements automated data flows for extraction, transformation, and load
Optimizes data aggregations while staying compliant to data privacy policies
Authors robust technical documentation, data schema and real time data telemetry specs
Builds and maintains moderately complex data visualizations
As a Contractor/Vendor Data Engineer, you will communicate and coordinate with external and internal teams
May be responsible for developing requirements and drafting high level design documents and selling designs to key stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
3 years of work-related experience in data engineering, analysis, and business intelligence
3 years of work-related experience in data engineering, analysis, and business intelligence
3-5 years of experience with Power BI and Power BI report
3-5 years of experience with Git and Source control in general; Working on shared code bases
3-5 years of experience with Azure Data Explorer (Kusto); (if you have SQL experience that should be good) and Azure Data Factory
Best:
Must have experience with Azure Cloud: Azure Data Explorer and Azure Data Factory specifically. Synapse a plus
Must have experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI
Must have experience with building moderately complex data visualizations on real data
Must have experience with physical implementation of moderately complex logical database designs and relational database concepts
Experience working with Azure data & ETL products
Strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required; Must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Performance Indicators:
Daily punch list of activities and being diligent about sorting and organizing your work
1-2 reports a week (volume per week expectation)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
