Who we are:West Michigan Partnership for Children (WMPC) administers foster care services to children and families in Kent County, MI in partnership with Bethany Christian Services, Catholic Charities West Michigan, D.A. Blodgett---St. John's, Samaritas, and Wellspring Lutheran Services. WMPC executes an innovative performance-based funding model through a contract with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), utilizing a capitated allocation payment mechanism that allows for savings generated from practice and program improvements to be reinvested into the foster care system. WMPC utilizes software that allows for predictive analytics to inform strategy and practice, and to flag cases that are at risk for further review. How you will spend your day:
Assisting the CFO, COO, and DPQI in preparing all subrecipient, vendor, and independent contractor service contracts. Driving the contract renewal process by coordinating negotiation activities among relevant WMPC staff and service providers and holding all parties accountable to the process deadlines.Working with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Advocacy to draft grant proposals and serving as primary contact through the award process.Designing and overseeing the end-to-end grant application / request for proposal processes awarded by WMPC to the network. Preparing grant / RFP applications, managing financial and quality control of evaluation process, reviewing submitted proposals, and recommending funding levels; conducting contract negotiations and drafting necessary amendments; securing appropriate signatures; setting up the contract within WMPC systems.Monitoring projects/program financial and performance reporting and conducting monitoring reviews; enforcing contract provisions through written and oral directives; recommending necessary budget and contract changes.Providing technical assistance and support to service providers as needed.Embracing technological solutions and serving as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for contract management software platform.Ensuring regulatory compliance regarding contract requirements, and monitoring adherence to governmental rules on fund management and utilization; providing training to subrecipients around relevant guidelines.Reviewing, measuring, and analyzing contracts and reports findings to the Director of Performance and Quality Improvement.Managing WMPC's procurement process and ensuring compliance with relevant federal and other oversight guidelines.Ensuring inclusion of strategic ways WMPC can advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in all grants, contracts, and new initiatives and committing to personal advancement of knowledge in this area.Collaborating with the Care Coordination team and Clinical Utilization Analyst (CUA) for service utilization approvals to ensure expenses are within the WMPC budget.
