Consumer Installment Loan Product ManagerThe Consumer Installment Loan Product Manager sets strategic product management direction for an assigned product line in support of the organization's goals and market needs. Manages P&L for product, understands key drivers of change, and analyzes monthly performance to ensure product plan and goals are met. Oversees the evaluation of market trends, product development, product position and pricing philosophy. Recommends enhancements to product line to stimulate sales and meet objectives. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
Duties and Responsibilities:Product Management:Represent voice of customer throughout the product management and development end-to-end process.Develop recommendations for products and/or product enhancements based on a thorough understanding of user personas and use case scenarios.Independently develop and implement product strategy for assigned product(s).Develop and manage product optimization and roadmap strategies.Ensure profitability, competitive positioning, and integration of assigned product(s) into sales planning.Develop internal training materials and conduct training as necessary.Project Management:Assist and/or lead project planning process.Lead cross-functional teams for key initiatives related to assigned product(s) to ensure successful and timely completion.Assist with implementation and delivery within agreed upon parameters.Analytics/Metrics:Develop and recommend pricing strategies that will result in meeting product objectives, improve profitability and/or reduce expense.Evaluate financial performance versus key metrics.Partners with key stakeholders to build data-informed business cases.Monthly reporting and analysis.Presentation preparations for assigned products and/or department packages.Industry Knowledge/Competitive Analysis:Understand and stay updated on industry trends and changes.Monitor competition from product changes and enhancements.Recommend marketing/pricing strategies to enhance customer retention and acquisition.Risk Management:Keep current on regulatory environment and suggest changes as needed to maintain compliance.Define, measure and manage product risk.Partner with stakeholders to evaluate and address customer complaints and concerns.Develop, maintain and/or adhere to department standard policies, procedures, processes, and protocols.Vendor Management (as applicable):Participate in the contract negotiation process.Manage the day-to-day relationship with strategic vendors.Monitor contract vendor Service Level Agreement performance.Dimension and Scope Data:This position is national in scope, primarily supporting the Retail Bank. It is responsible for a single product and/or product line.This encompasses identifying, defining, prioritizing, and completing on-going tasks and projects for the assigned product.The incumbent will identify the resources needed to complete projects, assist in the development of reports, participate on special projects, identify any product issues, and make recommendations for resolution or improvement.This individual will work closely with the manager in all facets of Product Management.Job Specific Knowledge/Skills:Successful candidates will need to be organized, able to resolve issues, and able to identify items needed for the successful completion of projects.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Microsoft Visio and Project proficiency preferred.Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
