This position involves construction materials testing and inspections(performing field testing and some laboratory testing of soil, concrete,masonry, asphalt and other materials components) associated with avariety of construction projects.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree inBuilding Technology, Civil Engineering, or related degree preferred butnot required.
Certifications and licenses related to construction materials testingsuch as ACI Concrete Testing Grade I, NETTCP, and/or ICC Specialinspections.
Valid drivers license and active personal auto insurance policy.
Understand and apply basic math skills.
Materials sampling & handling (includes moving and transporting up to 75lbs. over uneven ground).
Ability to communicate effectively with others in both verbal andwritten form.
Ability to interpret project specifications and plans and followdirections.
Ability to safely operate company equipment, and communicate usingsignals in the field.
Must obtain Nuclear Densometer Certification, and complete the OSHA10-Hour Construction Certification within one month of hire (paid andprovided by S.W.COLE).
