Kleinfelder is seeking qualified, responsible candidates to work on aproject in Boulder County, Colorado . The project will require 24/7Inspection and testing over the course of April 2024 to October 2024. Thiswill require staff of varying levels of experience and will be an incredibleproject to grow your resume. We need technicians who are comfortable beingactively engaged on a construction site performing testing of constructionmaterials in both the field and at the on-site laboratory. The candidates for this project must have the following certifications orexperience (or able to obtain within the first three months) :A minimum of 2 years' experience in the construction industry as atechnician or inspectorACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1.High school diploma or equivalent.A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.Use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MSOffice programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Attention to detail, quality, and safety.Authorization to work in the United States.
The candidate for this project with additional years of experience andcertification meeting some or all the following criteria will be consideredfor higher levels of compensation.ACI StrengthACI AggregateACI Laboratory Testing Technician I/IIACI Aggregate Base CoarseRCC experience.Dam/Levee project experience.ICC Special Inspector Certifications (Reinforced Concrete, Spray-appliedFireproofing, Structural Masonry, Structural Steel and Bolting,Structural Welding).IFC Special Inspector Premier Certificate.SC DLLR Special Inspector Registration.Radiation Safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge withsoil density testing experience.WAQTCICC Soils Special Inspector or NICET Level II - Construction Materials TestingSoils.Ability to monitor contractors and report results verbally and in writing.Proficiency in preparing clear and accurate detailed reports of testing andinspection activities and maintaining work activity records.Willingness to work night shift.
This position requires the ability to:Bend, stoop, and lift up t 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.).Operate equipment as necessary (i.e., ultrasonic nondestructive testingmachine, concrete cylinder press, etc.).Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder,traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces.Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with variouslevels of safety protection required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform field observations and materials sampling/testing duringconstruction of buildings, bridges, and roadways.Perform testing on construction materials including, soils, concrete,structural steel, grouting, aggregate testing.Cast field samples of concrete, grout, etc. for strength verification.
