We are nowhiring for General Foundry opportunities. Job Responsibilities include:Perform charge preparation and melt operations. Set up and operatecentrifugal casting machines to make a variety of castings to very closetolerances. Select, insert, position, check sizes and secure dies andcores as necessary. Mount, secure, clean and spray molds. Slag off andpour metal at proper temperature. Responsible for adherence to melt andcasting process through controls, measuring, documentation, etc. Offerrecommendations for process improvements. Participate in Pour Groups andother teams to improve all aspects of casting production. Maintainclean, orderly, safe facilities. Direct, assist, and train otheroperators and helpers as needed. Prepare and send metal samples to labfor analysis. Calculate and make adjustments, weighing additions toheats, as required to bring chemistry to specified levels. Maintainaccurate records of melt activity and Heat Sheet information. Prepareand inspect shells per procedures. Assist in die setups and transfer ofmetal (i.e. operation of overhead crane, etc.). Clean and maintainfurnaces and related equipment. Repair and rebuild furnaces and ladlelinings as needed. Qualifications Melt and/or casting experiencepreferred. Must be able to follow written and verbal procedures. Must beable to lift and carry 50 lbs.
