　　We are offering the significant role as “Construction & Commissioning Manager” in the “Construction & Commissioning” function to participate in this energy transition for Central Europe. Join us and enjoy playing a major role to enhance the Central Europe Construction & Commissioning function with fresh ideas.

　　The Construction & Commissioning Manager shall be responsible for monitoring of all site-based construction & commissioning activities of various projects under execution in GSI as per GE Quality, Construction & EHS Process and guidelines, provide critical construction & commissioning cost related and other support to the bid management team for tenders in the region and will be fully responsible for coordination with customer representatives to ensure client compliance & satisfaction as per the contract.

　　The position holder reports to the Regional Construction Leader.

　　Mission description

　　In particular, the mission consists to:

　　Tender Phase (ITO)

　　Coordinate costing & scheduling of site activities, like costs for the electromechanical installation works & Commissioning activities

　　Lead the definition of contracting strategy ( sub-con / partner) and its development and application throughout ITO phases with support from EHS, Quality, Planning & Sourcing

　　Prepare tender documents related to Construction & Commissioning activities

　　Initially prepare and arrange to take possession of the site infrastructure and develop and plan temporary and permanent site infrastructure

　　Actively participate to project teams from feed stages all the way through completion.

　　Execution Phase (OTR)

　　Implementing, Monitoring, recording and reporting of the Health, Safety and Environmental performance of the project site as per GE EHS standards in collaboration with Site Construction Staff

　　Responsible for preparation of staffing plan, mobilization of site teams & follow up of actuals vs. plan.

　　Set goals and objectives for the Site Managers & Commissioning Engineers mobilized on his projects

　　Liaise with design office for timely issuance of data required for preparation of site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …)

　　Ensure Construction Operating Rhythm is deployed on all sites

　　Monitoring, recording and reporting of the contractor work progress along with Site Construction & Commissioning teams

　　Prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs etc.

　　Publish progress reports and provide key inputs into Project monthly reports

　　Responsible for managing the risks and opportunities related to Construction & Commissioning activities

　　Monitor key construction events, through sample inspection of these activities to check that the contractors are complying with the contract requirements and the contractors' project Quality Plan

　　Managing Commissioning activities on site

　　Internal: Project Management, EHS, Quality, Finance, Tendering, Procurement & Logistics, HR External: Local utility, Client, Contractors & Suppliers.

　　Candidate requirements

　　Skills / Qualifications

　　An appropriate qualification in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of work experience would be advantageous but equivalent experience in construction execution and Site & Commissioning Management is also feasible.

　　Have appropriate health and safety experience, training and qualifications in line with international standards for roles of this nature to be able to identify and stop unsafe works.

　　Experience

　　Previous experience of undertaking the role of Project Manager/ Construction Manager/ Commissioning Manager on a large Substation Project. Construction experience in Poland would be an advantage but is not essential.

　　Have previous experience in the installation and commissioning of key elements of the project including, but not limited to the following:

　　High voltage switchgear (up to 400kV)

　　Power transformers

　　Instrument transformers

　　Medium voltage switchgear

　　Reactive compensation equipment

　　Power and control cabling

　　Protection systems

　　SCADA systems

　　Earthing systems

　　Fibre optic cabling and systems

　　Site telecoms systems

　　LV power systems and auxiliary equipment

　　Grid connection interface works

　　Electrical HV safety rules & safe systems of work

　　Civil works associated with the electrical installation

　　Experience with stakeholder liaison

　　Knowledge

　　Be knowledgeable on international standards and 'best practice' in relation to construction & commissioning

　　Be knowledgeable on environmental legislation and good industry practice in relation to construction & commissioning works

　　Be knowledgeable on the key applicable standards and specifications associated with the civil, electrical & commissioning works applicable for countries in the region

　　Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

　　Ability to be proactive and recommend and approve corrective actions if required

　　Will be required to travel frequently across the region to various project sites with presence on site during execution phase

　　Ability to work remotely but integrate with the GE’s wider team

　　Ability to communicate effectively, and to accurately and concisely report both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in English and Polish mandatory.
