  About the GLC Team

  Our Global Legal Compliance team provides key support for all of TikTok's innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global markets. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright, and capable legal/compliance professionals to join us.

  This is a 11-month contract Compliance Operations role to be based in NY, DC, Austin, or LA, and this candidate will join our Global Legal Compliance team.

  Responsibilities

  Key day-to-day responsibilities include:

  - Perform Level 1/Level2 review on all compliance tickets and requests in relation to the Company's compliance with Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption policies, guidelines, and processes

  - Communicate directly with business requesters, applicants, and stakeholders to make determinations on decisions for compliance tickets and requests (including approval, rejection, etc. of the requests), and educate on compliance policies and processes

  - Ensure accurate and prompt processing disposition of sanctions hits

  - Timely and effectively escalate true hits, high-risk cases, red flags and suspicious activities within the Global Legal Compliance (GLC) team, including to Regional Compliance Officers in global offices throughout various timezones

  - Serve as first point of review and response to Compliance On-Call and email queries that are relevant to legal compliance policies

  - Propose compliance screening system operation enhancements, and continuously identify opportunities for improvements to streamline the operational process

  - Support Global Legal Compliance members with variety of compliance operations projects

  - Perform trend monitoring, metrics analysis, and compliance QA activities

  - Liaise with internal stakeholders where additional documents or information are needed for further assessment

  - Provide ad hoc work as necessary to support the Global Legal Compliance team

  Qualifications

  - A recognized Bachelor's degree in Law, Risk Management, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent is required

  - 2+ years of relevant working experience focusing on Sanctions and/or Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption compliance alerts review. Experience in using financial crime compliance systems, preferred, including DowJones

  - Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

  - Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute tasks with a sense of urgency and with ultimate goal of delivering tasks on time

  - Ability to work well independently and in a global team environment

  - Can-do and positive attitude when handling repetitive tasks, with an eye towards identifying and proposing process efficiencies

  - Ability to read, understand, and apply Company policies and processes in day-to-day work

  Job Information

  [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (hourly)

  The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $65- $65.

  Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

In addition to Flexible Spending Account(FSA) Options like Health Care, Limited Purpose and Dependent Care.

  Our time off and leave plans are: 10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 10 paid sick days per year as well as 12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability.

  We also provide generous benefits like mental and emotional health benefits through our EAP and Lyra. A 401K company match, gym and cellphone service reimbursements. The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
