　　KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Instruct/coach gymnastics lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly

　　Provide safe, supportive spotting to gymnasts as they practice skills

　　Travel to competitive gymnastics meets as scheduled, including potential overnight stays

　　Build effective, authentic relationships with participants and parents; help them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers

　　Convey information on gymnastics programs and schedules and, as appropriate, refer participants and parents to other programs

　　Maintain records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.)

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Education & Experience

　　High school diploma or equivalent required

　　Prior experience coaching gymnastics required

　　Experience with spotting gymnasts preferred

　　Experience with choreographing gymnastics routines preferred

　　Skills

　　Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment

　　Knowledge of gymnastics skills to effectively guide gymnasts, or is willing to learn/be trained to acquire the knowledge

　　Ability to maintain positive presence in the facility
