Job Description
The communications specialist is responsible for drafting communications, press releases, marketing materials, and web content to communicate and promote the organization's activities.
Interview plant breeding faculty, organization-licensees, and the agricultural community to develop content that is distributed as web content, shared via social media, and/or published in printed media.
Effectively uses web software (e.g. WordPress, TerminalFour (T4) or other content management systems) to share information, data, and written communications on the organizations website.
Work with video and photos to enhance and develop the website accordingly.
Uses design software and tools to create visual information and graphics to depict data and trends and to promote the organization's activities.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree
One year of relevant experience
Web development/content experience and podcast/video/photography experience
Creativity and imagination Bachelors degree in Agriculture or Communications
Experience communicating agricultural science and technology transfer activities to stakeholder audiences. null
