The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Communications Manager - Digital, Healthcare Business Solutions (HBS) based out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX!
This position will work in a hybrid setting (in office 1-2 days a week and as needed for meetings and events) in our Dallas office.

Responsibilities
The individual will be responsible for being a motivator to the support and execution of annual communications plans for the US HBS and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) market. The Communications Manager assists with internal and external communications, specifically focused on 1) working with internal technical and digital teams to gather information about overall applications and features for complex digital platforms and, assets, and technology; and 2) crafting documentation and educational materials that foster engagement with the Association’s Training Network and many other professional audiences to increase use of the tools and business with the Association’s. We're looking for a dynamic content creator who can communicate complex concepts clearly and succinctly, and turn those concepts into rich, effective results.
In this role, you'll build a deep understanding of customer processes and goals. Along the way, you'll identify ways to make our content more user-friendly for our many unique audiences. This position supports internal and external, traditional, and digital communications for ECC's learning management web platforms and e-Commerce websites.
Content Marketing & Creation (Business-to-Consumer): Supports communications plans for ECC Commercial Distribution Platform (CDP) through content development and management, email communications, and more. Creates and leads on-site e-commerce customer notifications. Assists in developing marketing materials and catalogs for ECC CDP. Assists in the development of customer service tools including, but not limited to, FAQs, canned responses, chatbot support, how-to guides, PPTs, and other training presentations, etc.
Content Marketing & Creation: Assists with content marketing initiatives to drive traffic and engagement. Collaborates across customer market functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan that integrates with the line of business campaigns to drive awareness and demand. Assists with curating and writing content for Training Network communications, specifically the ECC Beat and the Instructor Community.
Customer Engagement with Digital/Technical Platforms & Assets:
Identifies and closes knowledge gaps alongside our Commercial and Business Technology and product teams, including conducting interviews with various users and technical staff to capture data for documentation, and translating technical information for nontechnical and technical users. Provides product and content expertise to the development of customer-facing educational materials. Optimally communicates and collaborates with internal business partners and subject matter authorities to deliver engaging customer-facing content. Reviews success metrics across content delivery methods.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college university OR equivalent working experience in a communications, digital marketing, or journalism position.
Two (2) – Five (5) years of experience.
Outstanding professional writing, editing, and communications skills/experience.
Experience sourcing, writing, editing, producing and proofing content for traditional communications vehicles, as well as social media, blogs, e-Newsletters, polls.
Ability to analyze, translate, and present sophisticated content in easy-to-understand language, formats, and presentations.
High level of project management and organization skills; understanding how to own the priorities of multiple partners and focus on the delivery of results; ability to multi-task and work with hard deadlines; ability to independently lead a project from start to completion.
Preferred Experience:
Experience developing written and visual materials for a professional customer audience.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, email marketing, SharePoint.
Design experience with CANVA, Photoshop and Acrobat.
Ability to travel to 10% local and overnight stay.
