What is this career opportunity? * We arelooking for an individual to join our leadership team in a communications role and be part of our dynamic Director’s Office team. The successful candidate in this role would become familiar with the department’s diverse set of services and direct communications strategies and processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - develop, execute, and measure the effectiveness of communications programs and processes in support of department objectives; - establish protocols and guidelines for department communications processes; - develop strategies and implement initiatives associated with marketing, social media, branding, crisis communication, etc.; - develop and manage website content; - monitor public informational requests as the agency’s point of contact; - work with the Governor’s Office on a variety of enterprise communications; - respond to media inquiries and issue news releases; and - create informational documents to be used in a variety of internal and external forums (e.g., legislative committees).
