Job Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for supporting lending efforts by underwriting new andrenewed loans. Serves as a trained credit underwriter and works withloan types including corporate, commercial and industrial, andcommercial real estate transactions. Underwrites transactions of varyingcomplexity (generally carry total bank commitments \"TCE\" up to\$30MM). Completes annual reviews, performs financial statement analysisand completes global debt service calculations.
Essential Job Functions:
Underwrites business banking and commercial department loan requestswith total credit exposure (TCE) up to \$30MM.
Performs annual reviews, financial spreads and global debt servicecalculations.
Ensures loan requests are underwritten consistently and in accordancewith the Bank\'s credit policies, procedures and standards.
Manages assigned credit transactions, ensuring the loan requests arehandled efficiently and processed in a timely manner, consistent withthe Bank\'s standards.
Communicates with lenders, credit officers and management regardingspecifics concerning approved and declined loans.
Tracks, monitors, and reports activity on loan applications anddecisions, including maintaining a record of loan applications receivedand booked.
Maintains the independence of the underwriting function and therecommendation of the initial credit risk rating.
Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance ofessential job functions.
Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of general financial and banking principles.
Knowledge of bank regulations related to the Office of Foreign AssetControl, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Anti-Money Laundering Act, and theUSA PATRIOT Act.
Ability to communicate effective both verbally and in writing.
Ability to demonstrate strong credit skills.
Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness inwork product.
Ability to maintain focus and concentration in a fast-paced environment.

Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in related field, or commensurate work experience,required.
Minimum of one (1) year of credit underwriting, financialanalysis/management and/or lending work experience required, preferablyincluding:
commercial and industrial;owner-occupied commercial real estate;accounts receivable/inventory; andcommercial and residential \'For Sale\' and \'Income\' properties.Formal commercial credit training either from a bank management trainingprogram or external provider, such as RMA or Omega, preferred.
