Position Summary
This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing partnerships with non-residential rate class members on business operations, account services, rate and financial assessments, energy management, power quality, and project development to expand commercial business within the Cooperative’s service territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as initial point of contact for commercial customers and resolve issues on rates, billing, metering, power quality, service reliability, facility expansion or modification and internal operations
Serve as project liaison with the customers to manage utility service projects requested by commercial customers
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of commercial customers’ business operations to provide relevant information improving productivity and lowering costs
Develop and manage process improvement projects across the Cooperative related to department functions with focus on commercial and industrial accounts
Proficient in understanding and analyzing customer meter and billing data for energy management
Maintain databases of commercial customers, including customer contact information and interactions
Support program initiatives for key account customers and continuous service offerings
Maintain and analyze various utility data for internal and external business requirements
Exhibit proficiency in utility CIS platform, billing structure, rates, and all applicable tariffs
Exhibit proficiency within meter data management system and be able to analyze load data related to energy programs and utility resources
Exhibit proficiency with data analytics, compilation and presentation reporting used for customer resources
Analyze rates on a periodic basis to determine if they are appropriately applied and calculated
Ensure that customers’ usage is properly metered, billed on the appropriate rate schedule and recommend changes
Prepare sample bills and other projections for new, existing, or entities seeking to expand
Ability to communicate and recommend services for distributed generation, power quality, load shifting and improving load factor
Develop business relationships and maintain awareness of industry trends and activities to help meet customer needs
Ability to provide enhanced level of customer service, professionalism, and presentation skills
Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative rates for commercial customers
Educate consumers on conservation and energy efficiency programs and initiatives and recommend ways to save energy and more effectively utilize electricity
Serve as initial point of contact for commercial customers during outages and work with Operations to assist customers in making determinations on how to proceed during outages
Manage specific projects and other duties as assigned to the business unit

Knowledge of National Electrical Code

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensing)
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Three years of utility experience
Project management or administrative support experience preferred
Directly related experience may substitute for education
Valid Drivers License

Exempt employees receive a fixed bi-weekly salary to compensate them for all hours worked during each pay period
