This short-term contract / temporary Collections Specialist position is available in the Austin, Texas area.

　　Key responsibilities

　　Guarantee payments are processed

　　Maintain quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries

　　Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment

　　Process bankruptcy filings in the correct manner when received

　　Yield to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations

　　Record all customer payments to the correct reports

　　Lead all billing and reporting activities according to deadlines

　　Attend to inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

　　Oversee and update customer files to ensure data consistency Requirements - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

　　Previous experience using accounting software

　　2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience

　　Be able to effectively analyze and make decisions on customer accounts

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

　　Experience with Account Discrepancies

　　Solid understanding of B2B collections

　　Foundational knowledge in Collecting Payments

　　Proven knowledge of Delinquencies

　　Proficiency in Aging Reports
