Description
Monitor account details for non-payment, late payments, and other irregularities.
Perform debt recovery services and initiate collection actions, including tracking delinquent accounts, securing payments, and implementing lean rights when justified.
Negotiate repayment plans with clients while reflecting an understanding of the client's financial capacity.
Contact clients to inquire about overdue payments and clarify the consequences of non-payment.
Maintain up-to-date billing system and account records, ensuring all payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare relevant reports detailing account payment status for management review.
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and regulations related to collection practices, including but not limited to lien rights.
Manage client relationships in a professional manner during debt collection, ensuring confidentiality and preserving customer goodwill.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a collections specialist or similar role in the construction industry.
Familiarity with laws and regulations related to debt collection and lien rights.
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
High level of professionalism, patience, and understanding when dealing with delicate situations.
