The Collections Lead is a key customer service position within UberFreight. This position is responsible for training newly hired teammembers as well as being a resource and support for all CollectionSpecialists.
What the Candidate Will Do
Reports to the Associate Manager, Accounts Receivable to assist inleading team to meet directives of upper management
Train all newly hired team members and maintain training process andmanual for new team members
Provide support for collections team as related to identifying whento escalate past due accounts and/or payment history discrepanciesand to whom internally
Review collector account assignments, unassigned accounts, andforecasted new customers onboarding, to provide suggestive feedbackto Supervisor and Manager on
where to place accounts
Create and maintain a customer assignment master list
Monitor collector notes being submitted; if note uploads fail assistcollector in resubmission and spot check collectors assignedaccounts for last notes added
Owns a set of customer accounts to manage
EDI knowledgeable; assist team with past due invoices citing EDissues
Complete and submit to legal customer ACH vendor set up forms
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required3-5 year in Finance, AR or related experiencePreferred Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance for Business, or relatedfieldPrior experience in Transportation and LogisticsKnowledge and understanding of account specific requirementsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Tools and other applicationsIntermediate Knowledge of the Oracle CloudAdvanced knowledge of McLeod ERP and financial systemsExperienced in different customer billing types; automated, manual,and statementKnowledge of Accounting Principles and Freight Payment TerminologyAdvanced communication skillsBasic MathAbout Uber Freight
