About the Opportunity
The Elyria Site (Lear Romec Brand) offers the most reliable positive displacement pumps in the industry consisting of vane, gerotor, and spur gear configurations. Products include lube and scavenge pumps that are ETOPS rated; high contamination resistance gerotor pumps for oil applications; high pressure spur gear pumps; centrifugal fuel pumps and centrifugal coolant pumps. Our pumps are used on many General Aviation, business jet, commercial transport, and military aircraft applications.
In this position, you will be responsible for processing metal materials and parts through various machining and allied operations in a team-oriented cell.
Essential Job Functions:
Set-up and operate various CNC and NC Equipment (lathes, mills, grinding) within the cell.
Troubleshoot and correct problems for set-up, non-conformance tooling and machining processes.
Provide a finish in accordance with the manufacturing outline and blueprint.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience : 4+ years' experience in setting-up and running CNC Lathes and CNC vertical and horizontal Mills; prefer CNC Grinding as well.
Skills : Basic math skills to make necessary calculations, able to interpret blueprints, detail sheets, manufacturing outlines, and written instructions. Requires the working knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, CNC controls and machines, and selecting dressing wheels for finish requirements.
Education / Certification : High School Diploma required, and Journeyman Card is highly desired.
