Job Description:
Build industrial overhead cranes and material handling equipment for a variety of Industries
Shipyards, Steel Factories, Lumber Mills ETC.
Operate one of several machines, including but not limited to CNC lathes, or CNC machining centers for the production of products including shafts, wheels, pinions/gears, drums, sheaves, and related machined crane components
Variety of MILLS and LATHES
Job shop NOT PRODUCTION machining - 1-2 Set-ups per day
CNC lathe, or CNC machining centers to make required machining operations
Ability to read and interpret part drawings to ensure proper dimensions of machined specifications
Notes, reports, and corrects variations in routing sequence
Keeps supervisors aware of pertinent issues, information, etc. warranting supervisors' knowledge, action, and/or resolution
Ensures proper, accurate records, files, databases, etcare maintained, as required, within areas of responsibility
Maintain tooling
Ensure proper inspection, i.e. first piece inspection(s) are performed and makes adjustments as required
Perform preventative maintenance
