More About the Role
Advises stakeholders on the adequacy of implementation of cybersecurity requirements.
Develop and maintain supporting documentation for new and existing networks, cloud environments, information systems and technologies as they are introduced into the SCCA environment.
Provide Cloud Networking expertise and guidance.
Perform and validate the patching of systems, perform validation scanning, develop Plans of Action & Milestone (POA&Ms), and report as directed by applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
Develop and implement required processes, procedures, and capabilities to mitigate vulnerabilities and weaknesses for software deployment within the environment.
Provide subject matter expertise for Course of Action (COA) development and the implementation of Cybersecurity mitigation strategies.
Provide Cyber Operations context to include a strong understanding of the people, processes, policy, and technology required to deliver Cyber effects as well as an understanding of organizational design, change management, communications, and related concepts.
Make recommendations on the optimized employment of client provided cyber operations capability and architectures. Recommendations may include but are not limited to technically specific tailoring (Ex. Enterprise Architecture) or organizational alignment.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Technical background with Cloud system administration experience, architecture and engineering preferred AWS/Azure.
Creating and maintaining OS Images
Experience in Vulnerability Management
User and account management
OS Troubleshooting
Technical background in networking, identity management, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, database, and mobility.
Must have excellent communications skill (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and experience with DOD IA processes and policies (e.g., DODI 8510.01, NIST, CNSS and other cybersecurity policies); and Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Experience with United States Coast Guard (USCG) and Defense Information Security Agency is desired.
Background in operating system development with both Microsoft or Linux operating systems, and experience with enterprise scale deployment and automation tools.
Expertise with creating and implementing MS Windows and Linux OS images, OS STIGs, and Vulnerability Management.
DoD Secret Clearance
Current DoD 8570 Certification, DoD IAT Level II.
