ResponsibilitiesThe candidate in this role would have the opportunity to join an interdisciplinary study team with a focus on environmental health and the impact of chemicals on child health and development. For this study, we will be conducting observational study visits and collecting biospecimens from healthy children ages 12 - 15 over the next several years. This position will assist with research-related procedures and clinical assessments (i. e. anthropometrics, blood pressure, collection of blood, urine and saliva, and spirometry and FENO airways assessments). The ideal candidate for this role will be outgoing, have pediatric phlebotomy skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience working with EPIC or a similar EHR are also preferred. More information about the ongoing study projects can be found here:Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:* Perform all coordinator tasks related to the study visit with a special emphasis on clinical procedures* Work closely with other members of the team in pre-visit (scheduling, case management, materials prep) and post-visit (data entry, biospecimen tracking, reconciliation of pending surveys) activities* Collaborate with investigators on best practices for collecting data according to rigorous protocols while providing good participant care and maintaining strong professional relationships through the duration of several longitudinal studies* Develop knowledge and expertise for the use of multiple systems for tracking and management (storage, shipping, processing) of specimensRequirementsRequired Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Graduation from an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program.Prior experience in research or a related field/setting.Required Credentials:Current Medical Assistant - Certified designation by Washington Department of Health (DOH).Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).Current Certification as a Medical Assistant by the AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.Preferred:Pediatric research experience.Current Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care experience and/or Medical screening and immunization.Min to Max Hourly Salary$27.61 - $41.42 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$57,428.80 - $86,153.60 /yrSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
