JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Clinical Research Assistant IIPurpose Under general supervision, assist in various administrative anddata collection aspects of clinical research studies. Primary FunctionsAccurately enter research data onto case report forms or specifiedprograms (OnCore) and other databases as appropriate under the directionof the research nurse or study coordinator. Under the direct guidance,assist with coordination of basic study activities. Prepare specimentubes prior to lab draw and transport specimens from lab to process andsend out Assist with processing of lab specimens in preparation for sendout or storage. Prepare shipping labels and document labels for bothdata and specimens. Coordinate patient visits to clinic. Organize studyparticipant charts and files, and Coordinate patient visits to clinic.Organize study participant charts and files, and distribute toappropriate location Collect required data from study coordinators andresearch nurses, and enter onto clinical research forms and intocomputerized database Order and maintain log of stipend checks and/orgift certificates to be distributed to study participants. Verifyaccuracy of bills and stipends Generate letters to be sent to studyparticipants Under the direction of the study coordinator or principalinvestigator, assist in enrolling patients in educational and socialintervention research studies. Contact patients as required afterinitial contact to obtain additional information Provide generalclerical support to nurses and investigators Compile outreach packets,recruitment and specimen collection kits Knowledge - Skills - AbilitiesKnowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and recordsmanagement. Data utilization, complex problem solving, criticalthinking, resource management, and writing skills.
