This position is located in the Clinical Trials Unit, which focuses on pre-market psychiatric medication trials. Job Summary The Anxiety Disorders Center at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to coordinate projects in psychological and psychiatric research. This is a full-time position with primary responsibilities on multiple studies on the nature and treatment of anxiety- and mood-related disorders. Duties will include coordinating participant recruitment, collecting study data, and database management. Other responsibilities may include assistance with grant preparation and article writing, preparation of study materials, and data analysis. The research assistant will have opportunities to co-author scientific papers and journal articles. This is an excellent entry-level position for a college graduate who is interested in gaining additional research experience before going on to graduate study. * Bachelor Degree in appropriate discipline. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently with attention to detail yet use good judgment in seeking advice when necessary. * Ability to use time efficiently. * Excellent organization and problem solving skills.
