This Project Manager position should have experience in the management and design of a wide-range of land development projects and public works projects for various industrial, commercial and/or residential development projects. Duties include but not limited to, initial project research, plan production and management of plan production staff, plan processing and management of plan processing efforts, construction administration and project close out effortsLocation: Tacoma, WAReports to: Managing PrincipalEmployment Type: 40 FT HoursCompensation Type: SalaryRegistration(s): Professional EngineerEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).Duties/Responsibilities:Function as a Lead Civil EngineerPrepare preliminary engineering reports.Research jurisdictional requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawingsPrepare of proposal/contract and of project work plans and schedulePrepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD and information obtained from research activitiesCoordinate client management and marketing efforts for future work.Prepare GIS exhibits using ArcGISConduct site visits and documents findingsWork directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertiseAttend, record, and distribute meeting minutes and assist with general project correspondenceWrites or prepares graphic materials for presentations or documentsLead a team of engineers and draftersInitiate and lead kickoff calls or high-level design calls with client in addition to preparing monthly forecasting and client cost estimates when appropriateQualifications:BS Degree in Civil EngineeringMust be a licensed PE in Washington with a minimum of 8-10 years of experienceExperience with producing accurate and complete construction plans and reportsAbility to work independently in a team environment and to manage multiple projects with limited supervisionMust be able to work directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertise.Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clearly and conciselyAbility to train staff and review work for quality assuranceSolid leadership and management skills, self-motivated, and possess a strong ability to meet deadlines, satisfy clients, and solve complex problemsKnowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil3D are all a plusHighly organized and detail orientedWillingness/ability
