Team Background:
Cross Product solutions team is a part of Oracle Global Strategy and Outbound Product Management group within the mission critical database systems technology group. The Cross Product Solutions team’s charter is to drive the growth of Oracle Database product sales by equipping our sales force with cutting-edge solutions that effectively address customer challenges. Our approach involves crafting and promoting frameworks that empower sales teams to navigate and resolve customer IT challenges, ultimately accelerating their success trajectories.
Oracle Database product portfolio consists of three primary product groups: on-premises engineered systems (Exadata, ZDLRA, ODA), cloud-based database services (Autonomous Database Service, Exadata Cloud Service, DBCS, alongside others like Oracle Blockchain Platform, Oracle NoSQL Database Service, Golden Gate Cloud Service, Exascale Service), and Cloud @ Customer Services (Exadata Cloud @ Customer, Autonomous Cloud @ Customer, Compute Cloud @ Customer). Our strategic focus is on achieving revenue growth of above products/services by providing sales with solution frameworks that enable them to architect, educate, and deliver innovative solutions that use these products, guided by scenario-based building blocks. These solutions not only help customers achieve their business goals but also facilitate IT infrastructure modernization. Moreover, they empower customers to maximize their investments in Oracle products, offering strategic value that propels their businesses forward and enables them to leverage Cloud Native technologies for both greenfield and refactored app workloads. The success of our frameworks is measured by the positive outcomes customers achieve and the subsequent increase in their consumption of Oracle services, creating a win-win for customers and Oracle.
As a team, we are dedicated to producing technical solution frameworks, known as Oracle Database Solution Playbooks, tailored for use by technical sales teams. Simultaneously, we develop sales solution frameworks specifically designed for Oracle sales teams, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach to advancing Oracle's market presence. This position will be dedicated to building sales solution frameworks. Specifically, we are seeking a candidate with experience selling/positioning the OCI services that complement the teams existing database and infrastructure expertise.
Position Description:
Join our dynamic Cross Product Solutions team on a mission to drive growth in Oracle Database product sales by empowering sales professionals to offer innovative solutions addressing customer challenges. As a Principal Product Manager, leveraging your robust background in sales and technology, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and evangelizing solution frameworks.
Your expertise in selling and positioning OCI services that complement the database tier is paramount. We seek a candidate adept at mapping customer requirements to various OCI capabilities listed below, closing deals, and creatively translating past sales success into a Sales Solution Framework for repeatable success.
Infrastructure: Compute, Storage, Networking, Containers, OS/VMWare
Data and AI: Big Data (Big Data, Apache Kafka Service, Data ingestion and ETL, Golden Gate), AI Services (Data Science, LLM, Oracle AI services, Oracle Machine Learning), Messaging (Streaming, Queuing)
Databases: Oracle Database Cloud Services and Open Source Database Services
Governance, Administration & Security: Cloud Ops (IAM, Compartments, Tagging and cost analysis), Security (Security Zones, Vaults, Data Safe and more), Observability (Monitoring, Logging, Application Performance Management, events), Identity and Access Management
Analytics: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Data Integrator/Integration,
Applications: Serverless (Functions and API Gateway, Events to help build microservices), high level understanding of different Oracle SaaS applications and their integration with OCI
Developer service: Low Code (APEX), AppDev (Visual Builder Studio, SQL Developer), Infra as code (Terraform, Ansible, Resource Management)
Multi-Cloud and Distributed Cloud: Oracle Database@Azure, Oracle Alloy, OCI Dedicated Region, Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer
Your role involves being well-versed in various OCI Cloud Services, understanding their integration with the customer's technology landscape, and facilitating a seamless transition to OCI.
The successful candidate will possess the agility to produce compelling content, including blogs, videos, and webinars, educating both internal sales teams and customers. Your ability to articulate the overall benefits of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, identify the optimal services for customer goals, and quickly adapt to emerging technologies is crucial.
