　　Overview

　　Responsible for providing orientation, clinical training and development for nursing and other clinical staff. Work in conjunction with managers, staff and members of the hospice team to evaluate and implement evidence-based trainings and In-services to meet State and federal guidelines and to promote change.

　　Responsibilities

　　Supports organization's mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers

　　Develops and implements clinical information systems education

　　Develops, implements and maintain orientation and annual competencies organization wide for staff and managers

　　Creates and implements orientation for clinical staff and students

　　Serves as a resource for staff on practice issues and the online education center, Relias

　　Serves as a practicum/clinical mentor for BSN and MSN students and other disciplines as required

　　Promotes certification attainment to staff and managers

　　Assists in the development and implementation of clinical competencies for all clinical staff

　　Participates in the review and development of patient education materials

　　Assists in identifying and developing online educational programs for all staff

　　Collaborates with Quality to present outcome based programs

　　Provides ongoing education and updates of education curricula

　　Adheres to the organization's policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

　　Other duties as assigned

　　Qualifications

　　Master’s degree

　　Two or more years of community health nurse experience preferred

　　Two or more years of experience as a Clinical Educator preferred

　　Knowledge of Hospice preferred

　　Excellent teaching and computer skills

　　Strong organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills
