Climate Service Technician

Job Overview:
HVAC / Refrigeration – Service and install temporary heating and cooling equipment at Company owned and external customer sites. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Climate Control Supervisor.
Primary Duties:
Knowledge of HVAC equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
Apply local HVAC codes in a practical manner on each job.
Provide technical support in the field.
Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing trades.
Ensure that all work is being done in compliance with company protocol.
Proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents.
Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.
Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
Able to handle high stress situations.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Able to lift 80 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder.
Availability to be on-call 24/7.
Handle exposure to dust, fumes, heights and high noise levels.
Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times.
Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous conferences.
Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.
Perform any duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications/Experience/Education:
A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Strong mechanical skills.
Previous HVAC experience preferred, willing to train.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Able to pass 7-year criminal background check.
