  POSITION SUMMARY: The primary job duties of the Client Benefits Specialist involves coordination with treatment centers throughout the ARC network for ongoing non traditional funding information when applicable and coordinates with center staff members regarding necessary client information. This position is responsible for complete and accurate application and approval processes, data entry to applicable computer systems and platforms, coordinating services and reporting with outside agencies including, but not limited to: KORE, UNITE, University of Kentucky and SNAP offices. Special emphasis will be applied to clients who are uninsured or who are underinsured. 

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  High School Diploma/GED 

  Associates Degree preferred but not required

  Working knowledge of computers with experience in a Google, Microsoft and EMR environment. 

  Availability to work some evening/weekend shifts 

  Must have reliable transportation and valid Driver's License

  Must have reliable home internet with 15+ mbps bandwidth

  ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Works with team members to resolve challenges and receive training and support.

  Demonstrates the ability to coordinate quickly and efficiently with patients,center staff, insurance companies and outside agencies.

  Identifies billing and program coverage problems and communicates with the Client Benefit Manager and Client Benefit Specialist to resolve issues. 

  Assists with logistical and/or clerical problem resolution related to the patient’s medical records, authorization and billing issues.  

  Pre-verify benefits and eligibility for all HMO, PPO, Commercial, and Medicaid insurances for all old and new patients/clients.

  Meets frequently with Client Benefits Team and outside agencies for updates and policy and procedure changes.  

  Entering the patient’s benefits information in KIPU CRM Software to ensure adequate date tracking for program compliance and billing.  

  Maintain a list of all eligible clients for priority benefit programs by daily monitoring of intakes

  Maintain enrolled client tracking data of participating clients in priority benefits programs .

  Input authorization information in the appropriate patient’s chart that is received via outside agencies.  

  Complete required GPRA surveys upon entry and exit of enrolled KORE programs, up to 6 month follow-up.

  Ensure timely SNAP program enrollment by coordinating with responsible center staff and assisting with enrollment during peak times .

  Conduct SNAP audits and maintain tracking data for all clients enrolled.

  Coordinate with assigned center staff for program compliance and accurate data tracking.

  Support collection of commercial insurance co-pays and deductibles.

  Occasional travel to centers within assigned region may be required.
