  Job Summary

  Offer administrative assistance to the Associate Provost for FacultyDevelopment and the Associate Provost for Faculty Employee Relations.This entails efficiently managing dynamic and intricate calendars,orchestrating, and maintaining comprehensive awareness of the objectivesand responsibilities for each associate provost, and leveraging yourexperience, expertise, initiative, and autonomous professionaldiscernment to execute daily responsibilities. The Office Managerroutinely handles sensitive information and must uphold strictconfidentiality standards while demonstrating discretion at all times.

  Duties & Responsibilities

  Administrative Support

  Responsible for managing daily operations for the Associate Provostfor Faculty Development and Faculty Employee Relations, includingcalendar management and correspondence.

  Support the Associate Provost for Faculty Development withorganizing faculty development projects in coordination with ProvostEvents.

  Assist the Associate Provost for Faculty Relations with compilingand organizing materials related to a variety of academic matters,including issues related to campus policy, procedure, and sensitivefaculty personnel matters.

  Coordinate travel to conferences and meetings and prepare anymaterials required for the associate provosts.

  Human Resources

  Assist the Executive Vice Provost\'s Administrative Assistant inprocessing faculty-related requests, such as promotions andappointments.

  Assist with the process for recruiting and hiring faculty forProvost Fellow positions.

  Coordinate with campus units to ensure the completion of thedepartment head, chair, and director 5-year reviews.

  Staff Support

  Provide support for standing and special committees appointed by theProvost, Executive Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, and AssociateProvosts for Faculty Development and Faculty Employee Relations.

  Provide support for comm ttees appointed by the Provost, ExecutiveVice Provost for Academic Affairs, and Associate Provosts.

  Perform other assigned administrative duties.

  Additional Physical Demands

  This position requires patience and an ability to work with people isessential. There are no unusual physical requirements with thisposition. Tact, discretion, and careful regard for confidentiality areessential.

  Minimum Qualifications

  High school diploma or equivalent.

  Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience comparable to the thirdlevel of this series.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Experience managing Outlook calendars.

  Experience supporting multiple administrators at one time.

  Experience assisting with planning and organizing events.

  Experience coordinating travel and meetings.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  The skill to efficiently handle large amounts of information, decide howto share or act on it, organize workflows to meet different andsometimes conflicting deadlines, and provide recommendations foreffective information management.

  Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with diversepersonalities.

  Composure and patience in high-pressure situations.
