The campus is comprised of 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. We work collaboratively to provide compassionate care and utilize evidence based practice to improve outcomes – to every patient, every time. Job Details Clerical Assistant Responsibilities: Performs a variety of clerical functions on the Nursing Unit including, but not limited to: Meeting, greeting, and orienting patients to floor. Answering questions from patients and/or family members, or redirecting to appropriate care team member for response. Transcribes orders; prepares patient chart on admission; ensures that chart is maintained appropriately; dismantles chart upon discharge; prepares diet and census sheets; rewrites medex once a week; prepares venipuncture list; assists in coordinating and compiling statistics as needed. Assists the care team with the discharge process. Answers telephones in a professional manner; distributes mail. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Previous experience in a doctor’s office or healthcare facility preferred. Salary Range USD $25.39 - USD $25.39 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job, and it does not include the value of benefits.
