Complex Claims Attorneys conduct claims processing operations for the Complex Claims team. Complex Claims is a full-service class action claims team capable of supporting class action administration from case launch through distribution, and responsible for cases involving high value awards, complex supporting documentation and sensitive subject matter. They utilize a detailed understanding of the case settlement as well as skills in data analysis, record management, and claimant communication to ensure accurate disposition and processing of claims. They exhibit flexibility working on a variety of different cases and filling numerous different roles based on evolving team needs.
Essential JobFunctions

Follows procedures in order to verify the authenticity and eligibility of claim submissions. Processes a variety of documentation including claim forms, defective responses, opt outs, and other documents based on individual case requirements. Reviews supporting documentation including substantiating and analyzing data. Review and respond to claimant concerns and inquiries via correspondence, ensure claimant submissions of documentation are properly scanned, and escalate priority communications and recommend scripting.

Works closely with Client Services, and Claims Services teams to understand project requirements and advise on best practices for project setup and understanding of the settlement.

Develops facility with claims and correspondence processing, as well as best practices for escalation support. Enhances department and organization reputation by taking ownership for quality and accuracy of output of the department.

Gathers claimant complaints, concerns, and non-conformance issues and relays them to Client Services as needed.

Maintains working knowledge of technical concepts related to processing support software.

Conducts risk analysis throughout the processing of cases, identifies and preventative measures, monitors quality. Also evaluates adequacy of quality assurance standards.

Supports on-site audits conducted by leads, external providers, and clients.

Answer phones on a case-by-case basis, to assist the claimant with any record related questions or concerns.

The Compensation range for this role is 24.53 - 49.06 USD per hour and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
