　　Your Opportunity

　　Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to assist our South Burlington engineering team. Candidates should be technical thinkers with beginner level experience with design/construction. Must be able to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers at all levels to deliver quality plans to clients.

　　You will have the opportunity to expand your experience and knowledgebase by working with our other South Burlington teams including land development, transportation, traffic, structural, environmental, water resources and construction.

　　Your Key Responsibilities

　　CAD drafting

　　Design calculations (stormwater, potable water, wastewater, roadway)

　　Technical Writing (Proposals, planning studies, and reports)

　　Engineering cost estimates

　　Field work (survey, site inspections, test pits, infiltration testing)

　　Traffic Counts

　　Meeting coordination (agenda, minutes)

　　Qualifications

　　Your Capabilities and Credentials

　　Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation software preferred.

　　Microsoft Office Suite

　　Excellent oral and written communication skills.

　　Detail oriented and organized.

　　Ability to work independently and in a group.

　　Ability to multitask and work effectively at a fast pace.

　　Willingness to learn new skills and interface collaboratively with a large and experienced team across all levels and disciplines.

　　Self-motivated.

　　Education and Experience

　　College class work in Civil Engineering and status as Civil Engineering student working towards a bachelor’s degree.

　　Typical office environment working with computers and a dynamic group of engineers. Field work may be required, and appropriate training and safety equipment will be provided.
