DescriptionGAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Civil Technical Specialist to work within our Civil and Environmental Business Sector. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment that will utilize their related experience to develop professionally and grow in today's global environment. This position is eligible for GAI's flexible Hybrid work schedules and a Sign-on Bonus.Job Duties:Plans, designs, and facilitates civil engineer project design tasks.Undertakes technical and feasibility studies.Collaborates with other professionals and discusses requirements with clients.Uses computer programs to develop detailed designs.Ensures that work product meets client, environmental, and safety requirements.Performs work under professional engineering staff.Handles basic design challenges and uses problem-solving skills but will refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.Possesses beginning knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil engineering design tasks.Oral and written communication skills and strong team collaboration are required.This position requires local/regional travel and should be expected to be 20-40% (1-2 days per week as needed for project-related work/occasional overnight travel)Why GAI:At GAI, exceptional people have an exceptional place to work, grow, lead, and achieve.
