Description:
Purpose of the Position: The Civil Foreman is responsible for effectively leading a crew from the start of a project to completion, keeping safety, quality, budget and timelines in mind. The Civil Foreman is also responsible for reading a set of plans and having the ability to build a BOM based on those plans with forethought of potential issues that may occur during the build-out process. The candidate must have the ability to build each site based on the set of plans provided by the client.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership to identify key success factors for civil crews.
• Concrete services, quality, crew performance and construction cost.
• Direct activities of crew and assist for electrical, civil and structural construction.
• Read and redline engineering drawings.
• Install Radio EQ, power plants and batteries. (indoor/outdoor sites)
• General telecommunications civil construction experience.
• Ability to work on and around electrical components (including but not limited to) wiring DC circuit, conduit installations, cabling, grounding and various connectors.
• Perform form setting and set layout.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required
• 5-7 years of field supervision within the telecommunications field is required.
• Experience working on and around electrical components.
• Understanding of cell site construction. (Rooftop and Ground sites, no tower work)
• Desire to succeed and learn new skills.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Strong organizational skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Ability to complete COD/Photos daily reports.
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly.
• Driver License
• Ability to travel is required
Work Environment
• Outside in all weather conditions.
• Travel at times required, home on weekends.
• Noise encountered from heavy equipment use on job site
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements
Microsoft office suite & Outlook; Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
Use of DelTek and SiteTracker a plus.
